We have a team of energetic and excellent people who have majored in law, accounting, finance, foreign trade, foreign language, business management, engineering, electronics & IT, mechanics, industrial automation, chemistry, logistics, human resource management etc.

Each of them, familiar with Chinese laws and regulations and experienced in the operation of foreign invested enterprises, is an expert in his/her specialized field. Therefore, we are able to offer effective, professional and practical solutions that can be best implemented in the environment of China.

The members of our management team are as follows:

Hubert Xu, Managing Director

Mr. Xu graduated from Sun Yat-Sen University and obtained two master degrees respectively, one in English Language and Literature, and the other in Economic Law. He had been to University of Sydney, Australia as a visiting scholar.

Due to his achievements in investment promotion, he has been awarded the titles of Guangzhou Top 10 Outstanding Young People, Guangzhou Municipal Exemplary Worker and GDD Exemplary Worker. In an exclusive interview with Asahi Shimbun in December 2002, he presented to Japanese companies the investment environment of China.

Mr. Xu had been manager, senior manager, General Manager of Investment Cooperation Division of GDD Construction Development Corporation (CDC), and he is now Managing Director of CDCIC. As an expert in foreign direct investment, he has provided services to many world famous multinational companies.

Ms. Sarah Chen, Vice General Manager

Ms Chen graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Language. She has more than ten years of experience in consulting service for MNCs in the field of industry and commerce administration, taxation and company management. She is Vice GM of CDCIC responsible for administration, HR, finance and IT.

Ms. Angela Wang, Vice General Manager

Ms Wang graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies with a bachelor’s degree in Advanced English Translation and Interpretation. She also minored in law in university. She represented the University to participate in the National English Debate Contest and was selected as Best Debater for her outstanding performance.

Since she joined CDCIC, she has provide consulting services to hundreds of MNCs. She was awarded the titles of Guangzhou Excellent Youth League Member, GDD Top Ten Young People and GDD Exemplary Worker. She also led her team to won the collective awards of GDD and Luo Gang District Exemplary Young Staff Organization and Guangzhou Municipality Exemplary Young Staff Organization.

Ms Wang is currently Vice General Manager of CDCIC, taking charge of investment promotion service and consulting service.

Ms. Cookie Zhu, Director of Japanese Project Department and Assistant General Manager

Ms. Zhu graduated from Tokyo First Manager School with a major in accounting. She worked in Tomen Corporation from 1995 to 1999 and then joined CDCIC. She is responsible for for Japanese investment projects and has provided services to many famous Japanese companies.

Mr. Richard Dong, General Manager of HR Management Service

Mr. Dong graduated from Hunan University. He had worked in GDD Nanyang Plywood Industry Company, Ting Hsin International Group, Atotec, Watson’s Beverage, Swire Coca-Cola as deputy manager of equipment and power management, HR manager and HR general manager. With many years of work experience in MNCs, he is an expert in company management, human resource management, organizational development and training. In addition to working in CDCIC, he is a guest lecturer of HR management in many training organizations and universities.

Ms. Cynthia Lee, General Manager of Canteen Management and Catering Service

Ms Lee graduated from Hubei University of Technology, and she is also a MBA of Sun Yat-Sen University. She was awarded the title of 2005-2006 GDD Outstanding Member of Communist Party.

Ms Lee took her first job in CDC in 1995 and had served in several departments of CDC and CDCIC. She is well experienced in canteen management and catering service.

Mr. Vincent Wang, Vice General Manager of Waste Treatment and Reutilization Service

Mr. Wang graduated from Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. In university, he had been President of the University Student Union and Chairman of Jiangxi Provincial Student Union. Before joining CDCIC, he worked in a National 863 Project lab. In CDCIC, he has specialized in projects of electronic and environmental industries and import and export service. He is now in charge of GDD Waste Treatment and Reutilization Centre.

Mr. Larry Liu, Vice General Engineer of Construction Service

Mr. Liu has more than 24 years of experience in design as well as construction project management. He is a Construction Project Bidding Appraiser retained by Guangzhou Municipal Construction Administration. Before joining CDCIC, he served as vice general engineer of Guangdong Provincial Construction Supervision Company and acted as project supervisor of Guangdong Olympic Sports Centre. He has worked on more than 20 plant construction projects and is well experienced in construction project management.

Erico Wang, Director of Projects Department

Mr. Wang graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is now attending a part time MBA program of GDUFS. He used to be Vice President of Guangdong Provincial Association of Students Unions, and Chairman of GDUFS Student Union.

Mr. Wang has been with CDCIC since 2005. The projects he has worked on include those of IT, fine chemicals, materials and services. His advisory work scope covers enterprises establishment, tax, import nd export.

Eddison Wen, Senior Project Manager

Mr. Wen graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. He is taking a part time program to obtain a master’s degree in Law. He had been Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Students Union of GDUFS.

Since he joined CDCIC in year 2006, he has provided consulting service to dozens of foreign and Chinese enterprises, including those of IT, electronic and electric, food and beverage, chemical, real estate and chain stores. Mr. Wen is familiar with investment projects planning, site selection, regulatory requirements, pre-operation preparation and customs clearance.

Kika Kuang, Senior Project Manager

Mr. Kuang graduated from Beijing International Studies University with a BA degree in Japanese. He has a good knowledge and experience of Chinese laws and regulations relating to foreign investment . Before joining CDCIC, he worked in Shinka Co.,Ltd. (Tokyo,Japan) and the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ HongKong Branch.

Ashley Liu, Project Manager.

Ms. Liu graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies with a BA degree in Japanese .In CDCIC she focuses on Japanese projects, including those of manufacturing and service. Before joining CDCIC, she worked for a famous foreign consulting company in the sector of intellectual property.
